Sketches..

This is roughly my sketch for the festive calendar on Mid-autumn festival, or known as moon cake festival.

A change in my Personal Statement.

I've decided to change my personal statement.

Mid-autumn Festival is the light of joy

The Ideation of the Design

When we talk about Mid-autumn Festivals, we will think about the the full moon, lanterns &moon cakes. The purpose of doing this month of festival on September is because it is celebrated by the majority of Chinese around the world and even in western countries. So it has become a rather universal celebration. Dating back to 3000 years ago, Mid-autumn festival has been celebrated. as a Chinese, it is important for me to show the specialty of this celebration.

Was inspired by how this celebration can form unity and happiness. People from all ages, from all walks of life together celebrating this prosperous festival is a good sign of bond between our culture.

The objects or symbols I'm gonna use is of course the most important part that relates to the festival itself, that is the Moon and also other relevant subjects such as the rabbit & the lady on the moon, clouds, starry night view as well as lanterns.
